My gangi, I’ll always treasure the times we had together, there were many. From taking me to every squash practice and watching every game and coaching me, joining you on caravaning holidays and in Portugal too. We used to drive to blockbuster, pick out a film and snacks and then you’d start a fire and I would sit right infront of it blocking all the heat. I slept over often, but I was scared and didn’t want to sleep in my own room, making you put up the spare bed in your room blocking the door so the only way in was so breathe in and squeeze through.
Safety was first, and although I tried and tried you never let me sit in the front seat of the car. On my 13th birthday, you came to the door and let me know it was a super special day, as I could finally sit in the front with you!! What a day that was.
You greeted nan every day after work coming through the door with a special gangi whistle, you made us practice and when we got it right, we’re were in the Gangi whistle club!! I still have the certificate that you printed out for me.
I have many more amazing unique memories like this which is all down to you making my childhood so magical and full of fun.
Love you always xx
